Husband,Father. Foodie. Fusion Extraordinaire. When Chef Chopra arrived in the USA in 1987, he brought his love of food with him. It’s a passion that was passed onto him and his 9 siblings by his parents who owned a Landmark restaurant Kake Da Hotel, In New Delhi India. His fondest memories revolve around his stomach, like getting a few rupees from his mom & dad and not being able to sleep because he was that excited about buying butter toast and tea from the local tea shop for breakfast the next day. And while he may not have learned to speak English until he was 21, he was cooking anything he could get his hands on from the word go. Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Penne Vodka, Chicken Parm were always his favorite, and he wanted to share his love for them with everyone in America with Indian & Italian Cuisine affairs. The food was to die for! Butter curry chicken is a must when you go here. The owner himself served us and he was exceptionally nice. I will come back on date night as the atmosphere is lovely.
So pretty, good music, wonderful atmosphere, delicious mocktails, pleasant people, and overall a great time.
(Takeout is also always hot & fresh!)
note: gratuity usually gets included on the bill when it is first brought to you and should be listed as a line item towards the bottom of the receipt
My mouth is watering already thinking about the chicken makhani (sp0) penne vodka and the paneer Tikka masala rolls. This is fusion done right! Mickey and Tomana were very friendly offering suggestions and making sure everything was to our liking. You can tell a lot of pride goes into their restaurant. Prices were clearly listed and reasonable so I don’t understand the some of the negative ratings for the restaurant or towards the owner Some are so outlandish and malicious that I can only suspect competition trying to deliberately tarnish the restaurants reputation.
Our experience was great and we will be returning to try some other dishes in the future!
